We don’t just review movies and TV shows. We talk about them, challenge each other, share hot takes, debate the details, and sometimes completely disagree. From the moments that had us locked in to the ones that had us asking, “What were they thinking?”, we bring the group-chat energy to every conversation.
Over the past 4+ years, WIGTP has grown into more than just a podcast, featuring a variety of series and special episodes, including Side Quest Reviews, Queued Up As Requested, and our one-off bonus episodes. Whether it’s a movie we’ve been waiting for, a series we can’t stop talking about, or something someone put on our queue, there’s always a conversation to be had. At the end of it all, there’s only one question that matters, Was It Good Though?

Meet Jason
When I’m not podcasting, I’m doing my best to be the best father I can be to my kids. I’m also a huge nerd and love comic books, but above everything else, I’m a true music lover. My love for film and television started growing up, watching TV with my family and getting completely immersed in whatever we were watching. It was an escape that allowed me to get lost in different stories and worlds.
When it comes to my taste, I love a mix of romance and drama, like Ghost, action thrillers, and I can’t go without my horror. I actually prefer TV shows over movies because I love the character development that comes with having more time to tell a story. Of course, there are some movies I absolutely cannot stand, Queen & Slim and Backrooms are on that list, but nothing trumps Beloved.
When it comes to my hot takes, I’m all about supporting Black television during what I believe is a renaissance. We asked for more, someone listened, and now that it’s here, we have to show up and support it so we can continue getting more. Oh, and I’ll stand on this one, Piccolo isn’t Black, and neither is A Goofy Movie!
Meet Jazz
I’ve always been a huge fan of movies and TV, especially horror. Scream 2 sparked my interest in film and led me to study Media Studies in college before pursuing broadcasting. That’s what makes the story behind WIGTP so interesting to me—I’ve been able to combine my love for entertainment, storytelling, and conversation in a way that feels authentic to who I am.
Outside of the podcast, I love traveling, graphic design, collecting knives and throwing stars. I’m also exploring writing to see where that creative journey takes me.
Some random facts, horror will always be my favorite genre, with Scream at the top of my favorite franchise list, followed by Alien. I had the pleasure of meeting Ketih David, the voice actor to one of my favorite childhood cartoons, Gargoyles.
A few hot take that hill I'll down on is Hereditary and Midsommar are extremely overrated films. Both fave great acting performances but neither should be listed in the Top 10 Best Horror films of all time.
